Soft greens now hardened
And depths added
Only to change as
The added yellow tinges
Seasons passing

Ripe grass bends
On long stem under
Seed heads filled with
Next years promise
And slightest breeze
Send rippling waves
Across field and meadow

To all things a season
It has been told

I used to only see
Seasons march forward

And know

Now I feel them
And find other things that lie
Beneath the movement
Of sun and time

We are here but a season or two
And all around us as well

My love for you

And yours for me

Has also changed
And I am yet waiting to see
If it is resplendent in color
Or simply grey.

To endure the resplendence and settle into a comfortable shade of seasonal gray is indeed the path to heaven, m'friend...Nice one..

Absolutely lovely...and perhaps we should always keep just the tiniest bit of insecurity so we don't take the love of another, or that person, for granted.

Surely resplendet with color is what I wish for the both of you. Let the only gray be in the locks of wisdom in your tresses.

I could only imagine that anyone standing near you would be splashed with your color. And the only grey being that of seasoned wisdom. You cover the spectrum of brilliance on this one!
Big yellow smile!

Wow this was awesome but I absolutely loved this part Ron:
"And I am yet waiting to see
If it is resplendent in color
  Or simply grey."
As usual an excellent piece of poetry.
