hey yall
well i am back.  (i say that alot dont i?)  anyways i havent written in a while.  i started this alittle while ago and been doing alot of thinkng trying to get my life in order.  and this poem just flowed out.  tell me what you think.  

Take a walk in my mind

Take my hand
and you will see
where my dreamz
become reality
come take a walk
into my mind
and all my secrets
you will find
but first there is something
i must warn you about
theres things in my mind
that will make you scream and shout
so is this still the place
that you wanna see
then come on my friend
come follow me
walk down the hallway
to door number one
you see a father, a mother
and there new born son
things look so happy
or so they seem
just 2 in love poeple
and the american dream
later down the road
things started to change
everyones life started
to rearange
for daddy left home
with my moms best friend
and the once strong love
came to an end
then they fought in court
over little old me
but i was only 6 years old
and to young to see
my mom won the battle
but my dad won the war
cuz he took the house
and kicked us out the door
skiping ahead
to a year down the line
living on the streets
working for a dime
so i joined a gang
thinking it right
it got me off the streets
and a place to stay for the night
but by the age of 9
i was running guns
i didnt think nothing of it
i thought it was fun
but i was digging myself
deep into a hole
little did i know
my childhood it stole
fast forward agian
i was seventeen
i was dressed to the nines
racking in the green
went to a party
just me and my friend
walking down the road
thats where this tale begins
car turns the corner
and the tires squeel
we turned to look
our fate was sealed
3 quick shots
and they drove away
my friends on the ground
his life fading away
he said one last thing
when he looked in my eyes
get out of this now
then he started to cry
i held him close
as he passed away
and i got out that life
the very next day
a few days later
i bought my guitar
and  buy the end of that year
i was playing in bars
but it kept me off the streets
and i am thankful for that
and i know D's watching over me
saying play that guitar phat
ahead in time once agian
to 2000 and 1
a lonely rebel outlaw
trying to have some fun
looking for love
no more one night stands
looking for someone
to take my hand
and come with me
on this wild ride
threw the good and the bad
to be by my side
are you up to the challenge?
now that you seen the real me?
or will you just run away
scared of what you see
if you stay you wont regret it
for my love knows no ends
just take this heart into your hands
and these angel wings i will mend
i will end this poem now
before i start to cry
off to another lonely night
and only god knows why...

great write angel..and yes, you HAVE seen more than your share of the hard side of life..but i believe youve learned a lot from it..having fought your way out, you have, perhaps, MORE appreciation for the goodness in life..    i think youve turned out just fine! youre a good man jesse..one day love will come knocking at your door..dont look too hard for her, as you may miss her standing right in front of you!

James:  yes this is an original style.  what really made me feel kinda odd after i wrote it i was reading it back to myself and it almost sounded like i wrote a rap song. hehe.  thanks for stoping in.  

Kitty:  first off a big virginia *hugs*  out to you    and thank you for the reply.  i know i have said thank you like 50 million times in this reply but i mean every one of them.  and yes heres to better days ahead.

sandra:  *huggles*  yes i have made it    and your right life always tries to kick us when we are down.  but with inner strenth alot good friends like you we always make it through     thank you for all your loving support.
