  Sometimes: Love Is Not Enough

I could:

      Sit and wait,sure of myself
         Who you are
      Knowing love is far away

I could:

      Drown sorrow,as I've done
         In the past
      Solace in the bottom of bottles

I could:

      Contemplate, all these words
         I wish to say
      Meander through a thesaurus
         State silly rhymes
      At just the right time

I could:

      Interrogate this universe
         As to why
      Love is restrained,held apart
         By unseen forces
      As we persist in loves
         Grand revolution

I could:

      Fathom murkey depths
         Arise without answers
      And so lamenting return to bow
         My head in shame

I could:

      Lay and die,give up the ghost
         Swallow sweet poison
      In this depressive state

Then again,I could:

      Remain patient,with knowledge
         That you will soon return
      To be in my arms

I could:

      Refrain from love,avoid the pain
         Those toils
      Tribulations that writhe my soul

Then again,I could:

      Know sometimes love is not enough
         As I myself
      Need loves warm touch

I could:

      Make a choice to do what is right
         Wait on love
      Reassured, we as love are one

I agree with Sven. Love is worth it. Someone said that "You can't find the perfect one, for no one's perfect, you just choose the one that does the best at trying." which would be worth waiting for. Great read!

Thank you all for reading and responding.Although I wrote this a while ago it fits my life presently so I decided to post it. My lady friend must return home for an indefinate period of time to help with her family business: she is my best friend,lover, my gift from god and though she has not left yet it already hurts.
on another subject; i noticed typos in some of my posts please excuse them! I really can not type that well yet. I usually use a pen.

I believe love is worth waiting for...but for how long...sometimes it could be a matter of waiting for reality to take its rightful place and another time it could be just a fantasy and one should not waste their life away waiting for a fantasy...
This I know...don't miss a wonderful opportunity while waiting for a fantasy...James
