Beat the Heat

where the sky and horizon meet

Beat the heat,
beat it to the ground,
crumple it up in your fist
shred it all around
stomp on all the pieces
squish them into pulp
then boil them for supper
and pour, sip, gulp!

What a heat wave we've had lately
working inside in temperatures
100 - 105 F
Two people dead
If we could only beat the heat ...

Oh yes, I am sick of it too. 104 here yesterday. close to it today. Yuck! Luckily I was in air conditioned work most of the time.
I feel so bad for the ones stuck with no relief.
