Rain Your Tears

Dear clouds above
rain your tears upon me
let your moisture
glisten in the sunshine
I long for your wondrous smell
of happiness and joy
for the pitter patter of each raindrop
on the sidewalk
on my roof, on my head
let it go dear clouds above
rain your tears upon me
cry for those who cannot
tears of joy, tears of sadness
rain your tears upon me

Ohh, I second that plea! We need rain so badly

rain on a hot hot day is a welcome thing. Lovely poem!

Thank you so much for reading...glad you liked it! Rain is so needed...makes me feel good when it rains...here in AZ we don't get much...now I was just in Canada and it rained almost every day! I felt revived!

We have promises of rain coming....it will be a pleasure to stand beneath the drops and lift my face....just like it was a pleasure to read this delightful poem....

I bet it's hot in Arizona right now! This was very pretty, I love the rain, the thunderstorms which cause power failure are another story, but a soft gentle rain, nothing nicer, especially to sleep to.
