Red Rock rims Stuttered with gnarled And ancient green Rise quickly, Unlike the sun. Jagged cut ravine Winds willy nilly Across desert floor Waiting for rains Which seldom come And in its depths A sidewinder S tracks away From my shadow As dust bathed boots Scarred and soft Leave little behind To note passage Unexpected Trekking through Desert hearts can Leave you burned And thirsty… So I drink From your well Before I travel on. |

Kind of like the journey through life... Thank God for those wells along the way to make our journey a little bit more tolerable... A picturesque write, Ron. -MVS "If you think you know it all, you have a lot to learn." |
