So here we float All along these days colored alone Facts of feelings never told Have I been a ghost? Unknown? Tortured in cold. Here I watch unanswered prayers fall In a disappointing call Weakness devours this crawl. Though I wander through ways Tossing up misled days With colors black and gray Most dreams we chase So close, but still out of reach Lessons that I learned, now who do I teach? Unspoken words that never meet Unwanted welcomes we find to greet. As I wash away all pain Restrain This wonderful blame Into a beautiful change. Floating not so desperately Relentlessly Approaching A grounding Moments that slipped away gracefully I’m sorry. How can we control all we find? Who holds the End of the Line? As we all toss about in this Wind called Life Keeping ourselves from faltering through Clouds of Pride While some fly, some forever fall in this Tornado Soul I know There has to be something more inside So, please, don’t cry I promise, hold me tighter, take a deep breath then sigh We’ll be free of these winds, somewhere in time Although I think I’ve found that I’m in love with this painful, yet blissful ride. |

While some fly, some forever fall in this Tornado Soul I know There has to be something more inside So, please, don’t cry I promise, hold me tighter, take a deep breath then sigh We’ll be free of these winds, somewhere in time Although I think I’ve found that I’m in love with this painful, yet blissful ride. ======================== this is a very cool poem... this is an impressive write... the imagery and cadence are superb... and the emotions ache off the page. a bittersweet express of loss, longing and love. very well done!! jm slow burn ... |
