The artist and the writer plotted secret their escape the shores upon La Jolla set the scene of long await. Breathless anticipaion mixed with legendary fame they always kept the longing it was time to feel again. Her memories of kisses with champagne and candlelight soon waiting would be over as they loved throughout the night. With heated racing heartbeats they arrived to ocean's song a rocky sheltered haven ending separation long. Moonglow shone upon their love shooting stars spoke of their fate his arms a force of nature proving time was not too late. With dreams partially sated she returned to special room unknowing that with absence their relationship was doomed. For while she waited anxious he had gone to someone else a claim of feelings changing left her lone with heart of melt. She cried within the cottage in a state of broken shock her dream became her nightmare with her love in final dock. Still nightly, lying lonely she plays sounds of ocean waves oft times with reminiscence of a love she could not save. |

catalinamoon - you led me to a place where I felt I would want to be, and then I wasn't sure... A most beautiful flow of words, and very well written. BC |

So sad, yet touching. Sometimes, memories like that serve a purpose and help us see there is hope of love again. Good write, Sandra. All writing comes |

One of your best, Sandra. Very eloquently stated lines: "they arrived to ocean's song", "her dream became her nightmare with her love in final dock." Why do I relate to this poem... -MVS "If you think you know it all, you have a lot to learn." |

Oh, how beautifully sad. Her dream became her nightmare This poem really touched me. It's so painful to feel so much when it's not returned. A beautiful write as you always do Tracey If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |
