You smiled,
and my heart
was no longer
my own.

It's now yours.

You hold it
cupped in your hands.
To be tended gently
or crushed in an instant.

Your choice….

I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life.     a brand

Nice one, hon.

Marge, I like the tended gently idea too.

Sunshine, a heart in my hands would be treated like a treasure.

Thanks for your comments.

All we can do is trust the one that captures it.  I too will opt for the tender gentle stuff anytime.  Nice to find one of yours in here and one that is so wonderfully expressed.

Mark, thank you. I am always glad to see your replies to my poetry. I trust the one who has done the capturing, just letting him know what power he has.

Dee, How  fragile our loving hearts are. Very nice.

NightShadow, Welcome to Passions. And thanks for your comments.

Nightshade, welcome to you as well. Yes our hearts are fragile and depend a lot on others treating them gently. Thanks.
