Night's shadows fold softly In the forest glade A gentle, loving darkness Palpable, caressing, Charged with entities That bring our dreams Alive; Enchantments, Raptures and dances As the owls and deer And wolves look on; A frosty coating on The grass, crunching Underfoot; breath Plumed in the Autumn air; Sprinkled With shimmering Faerie dust, That love may bloom In the flames Burning joyfully, Smoky tendrils Streaming To the Starry sky... |

Wow! I really love this! I love the way it feels and the way it folds out. The way you write really is magic. -Samia |

rwood, athena4, jwesley, and samia, thank you for reading and posting. Yes, let's hear it for faerie dust and magic and love...all of us need some of this at some point...I think. ShannonM |

...like the cover to a beautifully painted Christmas card, depicting that log house in the distance, with fireplace light through the window, and glitter sprinkled around the card to pull you in to the atmosphere... This is of what your poem reminded me... "When you tell the Truth, you never have to remember what you just said." |

When we grow up the little child in us that beleives in fairies goes to sleep. When we get old the little child awakes.I whispers to us come to the bottom of the garden and watch the fairies dance. paladin |
