Virginia Salter You, out there, who do not know of that with which I deal would offer not but calloused words-- that there’s no need to heal You’d be quite fine should there be a jar with vent holes near the top allowing little pains escape with nary need for mop Yet, should I pretend I’d not lost love when my special one did go the bottom of the jar’d fill up, awash o’er every toe. Then the pain would puddle high-- above my knees would flow and then engulf the heart of me before you’d even know. So place me not in vesseled place away from agon’s cry be worried not to face my pain for death’s a part of life. Choose not to set aside this one whose pain is real and strong but help me through this piece of life for I shall heal ere long. The music of my memories will sing a blessed song and you shall find the joy with me if you should come along. A dance of life, a dance of love will soothe our spirit’s heart-- sit with me, walk with me, tis a life-important part. © July 12, 2001 |

Takes a special person to sit out your pain with you. So many will pay lip service and promise to be there, then run like hell. Painful read. |
