To Him Morning waits Wonders rise Time moves on He walks in Time stops A friend forever Turns to love Could it be? This man I see The man that I've Been looking for? Three long years of Waiting for it The question finally comes "Will you marry me?" "Oh yes I will" The smiles are united Seven long years of Timeless wonders Children and us forever In good times and bad He is mine My Husband and my friend.... lovely I'm of the belief, these days, that friendship, real friendship must come first in a relationship, before love/lust, because, I think it's harder to come by in the other order. your poem seems to reflect that belief and I hope it always shall---that your friendship will enhance and strengthen your love |
