In pride I am compelled to descibe a boy I have in mind. Decide and pray tell Me if I'm in possesion of a rare find. It's something I wasn't prepared for with my hard knock education. So I suppose it's to my son I make this dedication. 'I Love you dad' 'I Love you' Morning, noon and night. 'I Love you dad' 'I Love you' on the phone when out of sight. How did he know the recipe for alleviating strife? Where did he get the secret for adding years to life? Regardless of the presence of his adolescent peers. 'I Love you dad' in public and I'm almost brought to tears. I Love you too Boy. |

As I read this something occured to me... we as poets, and we as humans focus so much on unconditional love...we write poem after poem about our quest to possess it from a lover, we spend our life searching for it... and yet...its something our children give us without question. We need more poems like this |

Yep! It's hard for a youngster to express themselves in public. But, it is a joy when they do. You have definitely raised him right. I enjoyed this very much. Melton |

This is so lovely. I personally am one that fails to tell my parents how much I love them. I think I better work on it.. Freedom is not Free (Korean War memorial) |

Something so simple and so easy to take for granted... thank you, Richard, for putting this in the spotlight so we can all be inspired by it and apply it to our own daily lives. -MVS "When you tell the Truth, you never have to remember what you just said." |

This one hits deep. My son just turned 16 two days ago. It's amazing how they can come to you on their own and make you Ten feet tall with those 3 little words. It all adds up to joy doesn't it. I love this very much. Sincerely, Regina |
