coffee break Three old ladies at the rural DQ "A hot dog and a mud slide will do." They know how to celebrate on their summer afternoon date. Insurance payments, Medicare too what else would they have to do? Fragile voices with spirited views Wilma's birthday party is the news. "I don't want to be on the church board no more, Harold is the one to be voted for." "This ice cream makes me cough, it's so sweet, but I go for the butterscotch, it's such a treat." Three old ladies at the DQ I stopped for coffee, got this view. \\ |

I just love people watching...I felt almost like I was there! Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |

It amazes me how certain scenes witnessed or words overheard can ripple through so many lives -- consider what's happened here: 3 old ladies doing their thing; probably oblivious to your having observed them, let alone that they would have inspired you to write a poem, AND post it on the INTERNET for the ENTIRE PLANET to read!! Isn't it fascinating -- the "Ripple Effect"...? Nice moment in time, WG. -MVS "When you tell the Truth, you never have to remember what you just said." |

azblond, Enjoyed taking you there. MVS, I did steal a bit, didn't I. They had no idea what I was scribbling in my pocket pad, if even they noticed that . . . like a cat burgler. \\ |
