The Thunder

My muse is starting to wonder….
Of desert moons,
And the sounds of distant thunder.

Is it the waking of the soul?
When the colour of your eyes
Is freedom like a winding country road

I’ve whispered them in sleep,
Names of lovers once dear in heart
But it seems today, yours is all I want to speak.

I’ve come to understand my gift
This pen is closely connected to my soul
It lives and breathes inside the lover’s wish.

I hear the rain in distant lands
The thunder, slowly wakes my soul
In you my heart with gentle reaching hands.

The thunder, yes the thunder.
