~Reach Out With Your Heart~

attempting to smile he conjures a frown
picks himself up just to fall right back down
weighted by burdens too heavy to bear
people pass by him too busy to care

what would they do if the tables should turn
would they expect him to show some concern
perhaps they would learn to be loving to others
to treat all God's children as sisters and brothers

we all need to reach out to people in need
each day take a moment to do a good deed
the simplistic act of conveying a smile
can help someone know that their life is worthwhile

remember the next time you're out on the street
reach out with your heart to each person you meet
you can bring hope to a soul on the mend
by turning a stranger into a friend

~vlraynes

Oh,Vicky~
Just reach on out and squeeze my heart, will ya ?

Yes, friend ... a smile is such a tiny gift to give -
yet such a big one to receive.

I'm so glad to know that big beautiful heart of yours~
My son was right.
Love n' hugs~

Great sentiments, Vicky.  Many can learn a lot from your words.  I pray they take heed and practice what they have learned from this.

Caring for others takes a stong heart and soul. It can be the most rewarding activity there is. Hearts grow on such food.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

Wonderful outreach of human kindness. Both touching and convicting. Even the picture draws one to feel. If they do at all. Superb!

If everyone would just take these words to heart then maybe there would be less people in this world who have given up hope.  What an inspirational piece.

Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind...
