Where-in amongst these jumbled thoughts does one find voice to speak their mind ? What compass points one to discourse the random bits there-in they find ? What subject chosen from the heap of scrap shall see the light of day ? A fragment that has lain entrapped I seek no matter what it weighs . Faint questing touch of probing hand pray guide me through this twisted maze . The sum accumulation of my loneliness before me lays . So gently as if feather-brushed one fragile piece is brought to view , a memory of just how much at times like these I'm missing you . I hold it briefly in my hand to feel the warmth of living things , and try once more to understand the permanence of loss which brings , me back , full circle to the start , to rummage through my broken heart . |

DrMoose~ Pardon me while I 'gush' .... I feel this piece .... 'So gently as if feather-brushed one fragile piece is brought to view, a memory of just how much at times like these I'm missing you .' Such softly written ... stirring memories~ Just beautifully done. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Doc...this is so very, very good...so many lines like me "What compass points one to discourse" I read this two ways... "So gently as if feather-brushed one fragile piece is brought to view," this is so soft... and this "me back, full circle to the start, to rummage through my broken heart." wrapped it up so well! |

Marge , Thank you . No pardons necessary . I don't normally do sentimental pieces , but this just kind of fell together . Decaflame , Thanks , as with most of the things I write , the lines that seem to write themselves tend to come through the strongest . Denise , Thanks . Although there was no particular person that inspired this , it did seem to portray the confusion , dis-association , and longing that losing a loved one brings . Thanks again . Doc |
