It seems like only yesterday that summer began,
when I could stay out all night and kick it with my friends.
Now the nights seem to be growing shorter,
And I've realized my summer is about to end.

I'm not ready to go back to school,
and have to start my Senior year.
Because all my friends are exctited about it,
but my heart is filled with doubt and fear.

This summer has left me so many great memories,
and through everything I've had so much fun.
Now it's time to move on with my life,
because this summer is almost done.

All I have left is the pictures to remind my of all the good times,
and that's what truely will make me sad.
Knowing it will never be this good again,
is what really makes me mad.

But I guess all good things have to come an end,
and I have so many more goals I need to achieve.
My life has to go on no matter how hard it is for me,
and someday my life my life will be this good again thats what I have to believe.

This is a nice poem. It's not my fav. from you but it is good. Rhyme scheme confused me, sometimes it was there, and sometimes it wasn't. Thanks for the read.

I relate to this so much. I hear you completely on this, but so willl everybody else eventually. Well done here.

Hmmm...yeah, I'll miss summer too! It's not good to be regretting or living in the past! I'm sure more good times will
come along! Like maybe next summer will be better!

but, I personally am a Winter person...

and someday my life my life will be this good again thats what I have to believe

lauren! your last year in highschool is the BEST year! you are going to love it. i remember the begining of my senior years two years ago i was scared and worried half sick like you. but you know what? when it comes down to it, you're going to love your last year in highschool heaps. summers gone yes and the days of lazing around too...but you know it'll come back- it always does!
