"The turbulent waves, Whipped by winds. The ships on the water, Being bobbed along, Like a child's toy. They've been turned, Into an object Of insignificance, By this vastness of nature." Staring at the ocean during a storm Shows how fragile and inconsiquential we are. But, blinded by self-importance Smiling ironically, I muse. For in arrogance We think we are, Unique, invincible and immune to mortality. And, oh yes, above the law of nature. But, in final analysis We are not. Nature IS the only law, Inexplorable and unchanging. Misty Hey, quick question, anyone here from the Caribbean? Every action of our lives touches some chord that will vibrate in eternity. |
