This poem is for my friend Mark. Sorry I haven't been posting lately. I've been hanging out with the boyfriend a lot. (remember the boy from the blind date WOOHOO)

You claim to be my best friend,
that you'd never let me down.
You can tell me anything,
but you never come around.

Too busy with your girlfriend,
or working all the time.
If you don't want to be around me
Let me know and I'll be fine.

You're going away to college,
I'll probably never speak with you again
Even now if I spoke with you
I wouldn't know where to begin.

We've grown so far apart
you don't seem like family anymore,
but if you double cross me,
you better be very sure.

I won't put up with anyone like that
I'm picky with who I choose.
See friends, to me, are people
that you will never lose.

So if you leave me now
and never speak with me again.
Be sure of what you want.
Cuz forever you'll be my ex-best friend.

HURA! I'm glad things between you and the guy from the blind date are going so well!

The poem was oddly familiar. LOL..It's like you have been following me around and worte about the thoughtsin my head and the things goingon around me. hehehe...I can relate 100% to this. Very well done.

You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.

YAY! It is so great to hear things between you and mister mystery blind date are going so well. Now no getting too funky missy.

This doesn't sound a good situation at all. I'd hate to double cross you. You sound really nasty. We should do lunch sometime.

Some strong emotions backed up with equally strong wording. I like this. It demonstrates power.

Congrats on the chemistry between you and Mr Blind Date. I really enjoyed this poem, because I have been in similar situations, but I guess everyone has. This was a very nice piece. Maybe you should show it to this person to let him know how you are feeling. I hope everything works out.

Anyways, I liked this poem. You put a lot of emotion into it. I liked the rhyme scheme and the flow.. very nice work. I enjoyed this! As always.. and come back! Don't spend too much time away..

You did good, but the blind date thing and reply of others threw me off. I don't see good things happening in the poem at all. care to share your explanation, cause others might be seeing something I just can't seem to figure out. Thanks

i love this! i feel the same way about my ex boyfriend i wish i could talk to him again cuz we were good friends and he just left for college and i know he'll hardly ever want to talk to me unless all his other "buddies" wetn to a party without him hahaha well great job!! i like it a lot

I LOVE this poem! Too bad not all people understand how important a friendship is. i am lucky that my best friend does. You will find better friends, if he leaves and dosen't talk to you, then he wasn't really your best friend after all. There will be better.

Love will come and love will go, but friends are forever (usually).
