The world I see started closing in, Frightening lightening flashbacks of places I’ve been. I fight, wiggle and scream to free their grasps, “Judgement Day” in a boney voice that rasps. I see a face before me empty, lifeless, dead! Suddenly and flaming eyes burning red. He’s come to judge, decide my fate to be, In dreams, no nightmares, he has haunted me. His stone cold grip’s upon me, like snakes around my neck, Here to steal souls and my life to wreck. I scream a shattered scream of a soul that’s lost, In my life it seems to be the lines that I have crossed. It’s those lines condemning me for eternal time, I should have thought before I lived a life of crime. I thought I could be strong and hold myself together, But so did those before and they too burn forever. I had the chance to change blindly I turned my head, The cost is so much worse worse than being dead. I wish I would have listened to all that I was told I wish I would have changed before I grew so old. I lay upon my deathbed cursed by my old ways For my judgement I now wait for the End of Days fyi/btw- I would like to say that i wrote this poem almost a year before the movie came out. The movie had no influence on this piece..as a matter of fact it was inspired by a reoccuring nightmare of mine...so with that said...i hope you enjoyed it. " How can i feel if i can't breathe...?" |

I've had nightmares like that too...creepy...I liked this,it had a great flow and the words just sunk right into my head. 'The greatest thing in the world is to know how to be one's own.' |

That was a good poem. I have had that same nightmare, I just pray that for me it doesn't become reality. Jon "Your anger is a gift"-Rage Against The Machine |

It's good to know it was written before the movie. That does mean I will not take creativity points away Well done on the poem. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

Oooo! I Really really loved htis piece. Very awesome. Nightmares aye? I never have nightmares about this, I lot of my friends do though...Hmmm...Anyway- Loved the read! You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did. |
