When I first placed my eyes on you You gave out quite a charm. To talk to you I never thought would do me any harm. Little did I know, how good with words you really were- to manipulate everything you spoke into my heart so unsure. You created a picture in my mind of softness and truth with intentions so unkind. Sweet words you spoke to make me think you cared, I actually began to think you would be there. So quick for me to realize that you were really false- And now your silence brings hurt and rage I pulse. I promised myself You wouldn't get to me because all along I never took you seriously. You tried to tell me I was wrong- but you only proved I was right all along. |
