It's funny that when looking back We laugh at long healed scars Shake our heads at immaturity When we wished upon the stars It funny that I can laugh At all those times I cried And look back with a genuine smile And a twinkle in my eyes Its funny what I'm thinking now That I'm grown up sitting here But whats funny is what I will think Looking back in 20 years [This message has been edited by LCBS (03-03-2002 05:26 PM).] |

This poem is great! You really sum up what it feels like to look back on the past . . . Good job! Life is a moderately good play w/ a badly written thrid act. - Unknown |

It's nice to look back at past achievements and accomplishments, so I hope you look back in twenty years and enjoy this poem as much as I have enjoyed reading it now. Zu See this through and leave my friend, the tears will come and I will end. |

this is sooooo weird...i found this while going through my personal library..and it doesnt seem to show me that i had posted here before ...its great nonetheless...so in the library it stays The feeling of Sleepiness when you're not in bed, and can't get there, is the meanest feeling in the world.-- Edgar Waston Howe |

Its funny what I'm thinking now That I'm grown up sitting here But whats funny is what I will think Looking back in 20 years Interesting. I used to think a lot like that but I've reduced it down to one year instead of 20. 20 makes it sound like there is a plan to live that long. I did enjoy the read, Lisa. It's a universal piece and speaks to all. Always nice to see. ~AF~ I tried to stab my shadow the other day. It's a shame my leg got in the way. |

Interesting thoughts here. Lizzy! Stop that.... Anyway, yeah, I don't completely agree with the message, but in a way, there is truth to faded memories not being so painful years later. Nice write. Jenn "I can't get you out of my head- your love is all I think about." |
