Only Time Shall Tell

Ok heres the 411. The guy I like, that I really like, I think he likes me. The thing is he hasn't said anything yet. Talk about stress huh? Well here is a poem I wrote for him.

promises don't always last forever
don't promise me you will love me
just tell me you love me every day
when at last you decide to tell

thoughts have been given over with time
about you me life together
how everyday is different
yet the same in every aspect

for you i can say that i know
that friendship will last forever
ours will and if it goes further
i know it will all be ok

several times i have doubted myself
in the end it all works out
because commitment is something to deal with
how can love came so quickly

yet not a day goes by that a tear isn't shed
for you on the bed that i lay upon
the wettness that shows on it is for you
my love spelled out in wet pain

yet never shall you see or hear
these sweet poems written for you
lips sealed and locked with a key
that you shan't find anytime now

if only you knew what I went through
every night as i lay in my bed
only if you could read my mind
and know how much it hurt me to

i hope that someday you will know
how much you mean to me
every minute of everyday is spent on you
i know you hear my voice at night

the wind on your window is me
whispering something to you
only a gift of word shall you recieve
until i mean something more

i am not the girl next door
that can go away with time
i will stand up and give you something
to show you knew me well

you know me better than i know myself
forever it shall be that way
until the day when two hearts met
as the crystal sun sets into the orange pool

for you
