"It's Been So Long (Since We've Done This)" © 2002 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved Verse 1 The sun goes to sleep, while the moon wakes up As the trees slow dance in the evening breeze On the porch we watch this town say goodnight You take my hand and give it a small squeeze Then you say:.... Chorus It's been so long since we've done this Just sit here on this old porch swing holding hands and sharing a kiss Years ago it was everything It's been so long since we've done this First moment alone in ages 'Cause now the house is filled with kids And we've been through many faces Verse 2 As the starlight starts to arise you say: "They're beautiful, the stars, they're beautiful We never just look at them anymore" And I say; "You're right, might be possible But it's cuz..." Chorus Bridge Then you say: Sitting here makes me feel young again promise me it'll never end Then under the rusty light I say I promise this night will always stay I promise you, I promise you...For Chorus |

Hmmm, not a bad song! I think it has a sweet message behind it, but the repetition of the word "beautiful" in.. "They're beautiful, the stars, they're beautiful" sort of threw me off. Then again, it may flow better when put to a rhythm. ~Sky |
