Intro
Jonathan takes his book down from shelf
Dusts it off and then opens it slowly,
The tale gets to Jonathan every time
He looks at the pictures of the cities...
Then he says:

Verse 1
I want to see New Orleans be part of the Mardi Grass,
Walk down the wide crowded streets with the poeple wearing masks
Sit on a Café corner listening to some good ol' Jazz
Pour from the golden trumpets and the big brown humming bass
But I'm just a tired old man,
Been stuck in this wheel chair through life
So my journey never began,
And it's been cutting my like knifes
Everything I've got is my book,
To take me where I never could.
To take me where I never could.

Verse 2
I want to go to Egypt and let the pyramide's tell,
Stories of thousands of years about their heaven and hell
To ride through the golden sea on a bony old camel
How the giant burning sun is drying out aingent wells
But I'm just a tired old man,
Been stuck in this wheel chair through life
So my journey never began,
And it's been cutting my like knifes
Everything I've got is my book,
To take me where I never could.
To take me where I never could.

Verse 3
I want to see the Opera house on Sidney's gran ol' dock,
Rise 'bove the blue skyline and hit me like a raging truck
To stand in the shadow off the fabulous Ayers Rock
In the middle of nowhere the miracle was unlocked
But I'm just a tired old man,
Been stuck in this wheel chair through life
So my journey never began,
And it's been cutting my like knifes
Everything I've got is my book,
To take me where I never could.
To take me where I never could.

Jonathan puts his book back on the shelf
That was enough adventure for one day,
Tomorrow he'll do the exact same thing
Sit in his wheel chair open his book and say:
Everything I've got is my book,
To take me where I never could.
To take me where I never could....

Woo, your songwriting talents are developing quite nicely, I see...Jonathan and I can very much relate.
