Sparkling Winters of Death

The shy winters have come to rest upon the ground
the sparkling is glowing, within your eyes.
The shadows are falling over your pale skin
and the darkness embraces you for what its worth.

The figures are dancing within your mind
your body lays lifeless, your head, full of thoughts.
My child, please move, let me know you are still there
Why have you burdened me, to a life without care?

Your heart has been mended, your mind, cleared of thought.
Your dreams have been shattered, torn from their embracing thought.
Crawl away with me, my dear little child. Look away, from that wretched place.
Fall off of that final ledge, and disappear, once more.

I thought that this had a lovely quality to it, some good imagery, and another really good title

This is actually quite beautiful. The scene you've captured here is truly an amazing one. Wow...I can't even mention what it is that I honestly love about this piece. There are just too many aspects of it that have caught my eye.

Thanks for posting this. I very much enjoyed the read.

Imagination=nostalgia for the past, the absent; it is the liquid solution in which art develops the snapshots of reality.

I really thought that this was a beautful poem. It caught my eye at first for it being about Winter (I love Winter), but then it really carried itself even beyond the title and surface impression. Well done.

I'm married to Mr.Metaphor. We make love everyday.

hey,
i don't remember if i have replied to any of your other stuff, but i don't think so. welcome to passions then lol.  i agree with everyone how the title does stand out, and provoke curiosity in the reader.  your poetry itself upheld the beauty of the title (i know that sounds kind of cheesy, but it is true) the last stanza did become my favorite though.  yay for the spiffy poem.

maybe i'll catch fire, something nice to warm me. something pure to burn away the darkness, that hides inside my mind. -alkaline trio-
