Hey wait right there for a minute –
I thought you were the riddle,
Mr. Spring riding his Cajun fiddle,
I thought you were my pumpkin pie

Seattle man couldn’t have predicted
That I’d remember his voodoo
And he still tastes good, you know,
His black salty skin still sends me into
Warp speed

I’m not that easy, but I’m still alive
Below the waist and even if the bishop
Comes to rip it all from me I’ll say,
“Hey, you know envy is a sin too”
He told me so, yeah, He told me so

Shh!

I said I thought you were my pumpkin
Pie boy, my Seattle man, dancing the
Can-can but you seem to not know
Of the ending and for once
I find myself with apathy stains

I’m filled up, fat and stuffed
I know now you can’t find my mouth
You can’t find the saxophone to play
Your whispers on so now I can just
Close my eyes

And you’re gone

I'm married to Mr.Metaphor. We make love everyday.

I am definitely coming back to this one. It's in the library and will be replied to properly shortly.

Wow.  I really rather liked this one, pumpkin pie is a favorite treat of mine and this poem is also.

hehehe, bet you didnt see this one coming, Hi you!, i liked it alot... it just had flavor.. or something.. i think its because of how you blended the seatle with the new orleans... i dont know... i just liked it.. reminds me of a Tori Amos song... sorry if that offends, but i think shes a good artist so coming from me it is a compliment

This IS a surprise. Random is right! lol Nice to see you here. But I'd rather see you posting than replying to my crap. Promise to stick around a bit?

I'm glad you liked it. Actually I met the Seattle man in New Orleans, but I'm glad you picked up on the different "flavors". I'm not sure anybody else did. Not that it matters.. but you know.. shrug. shrug.

Love,
Jaime
