I can pretend that I don't want you
And that you're not what I need
Maybe if I pretend long enough
I might start to believe...

I might believe that I don't love you
That you're not perfect in my eyes
If I believe it long enough
My feelings for you will die.

But even if they do
I'll never understand
Why you said we'd never work-
When you didn't give us a chance.

I'll always wonder whaty could have been
If you only let me show you,
I could have been everything you wanted
If you only wanted me to.....

hey I can really relate to this one but unfourtunatly I have never found denial to work you have to deal with the truth sometime, anyway a good transcription of those feelings
