Today it feels like there are 100 kinds of mediocre,
my wavelength seems to have missed all the others
the colours are watered down to shades of grey
and today I don't have the energy
to break down the barriers that seem to have emerged
laughter seems harsh to me rather than warm
and i can't sit comfertably at all
I know i am trying too hard
to find beuaty in the things around me, and peace at the touch of your hand
but today all the emotions I feel are plastic, cheap immatations of the real things
and however long I stand in the shower
I ain't gonna wash away the feeling of today
