I'm sorry you had to see it
you must regret that lucky guess
I'm sorry you buried your hatred for him
locked away with all the rest

Had I known it meant that much
had I even thought you cared
I would've grimaced at his touch
no Harlequin would've dared...

It's too late now
for reformation but my determination
will win you back, or at least your trust
I'm sorry the cards had fall this way
but this hand was dealt with extra lust

I'm sorry you had to see it
but I'm sure you never cried
I'm sorry for how you learned the truth
but I'll never be sorry that I lied.

I liked it, but a lot of it went
over my head.. probably has to do
