Have you ever had a friend who understood you They loved you, I mean really loved you They could make you smile when ever you needed it Then one day that friend got weaker because if their illness I have had two best friends One was my dad, and another was my best friend Jose’ They were there when I needed them the most My dad died of cancer Jose’ died of muscular dystrophy My dad and Jose’ I loved Until their illness killed them But I know they are in the sky watching down on me I often think of them I’m sure they think of me too I will always keep them close to my heart Life can be challenging But it challenges people to the end Some people go early, some people go later Death has taught me a lot about myself I’ve moved on But I’ll never forget my two friends Minna July 23, 2002 "Friends can change our lives quickly, they leave us with memories will last us a life time.." |
