Every man is an island,
entire of itself.
Every man is a continent and,
within himself, the Maine.

If a clod is indeed
washed away by the sea,
Europe remains the same-
a promontory remains the same.

As well as a friend's manor,
or your own.

Any man's death
moroses me,
yet it does not
diminish me.

For I am aware of mankind,
though not embodied in it.
So therefore send to know,
if you're able:

For whom the bell tolls-
it might just toll for thee.

Just a piece of advice, I would provide a link to Donne's poem.  Since you do in fact use certain lines that are exactly the same as the ones in his poem, you should provide the readers that care a link to the poem.

Well, actually I can't be bothered with searching the net for links. And what Donne wrote wasn't a poem. If readers wish to read Donne's piece from which I based this poem, it is just before Hemingway's "For Whom The Bell Tolls".

You can't be bothered?  Than how can you expect people to be "bothered" with critiquing your work?

Well, sir; I'm obviously not asking people to critique this. The word encourage is not to be confused with the word request. So yes, I can't be bothered.
