I want to get out of here To a place i have never been I want to see the world and Experience everything. I want to talk to fairy tale kings and be swept away on dragons wings I want to run with wild horses And find new courses Just around the river bend. Yet I lack the courage to take a stand To just run away and find a new land They need me here and that i fear Is what's making me stay. I want to Bolt My heart Revolts I need to runaway from this place where i stay. I need to run free And just be me. I soffocate in this place I need room to breathe And freedom to leave This town sucks me down Into the Depths Of boring society. You cant tell this life Is merely for strife I have so much to give And a strong will to live I need to be free And just be me Adventure calls Upons the wind If i do not go I will never know What it means To truly live So i leave now to a brand new place Where my life truly begins. I'm Going now To talk with fairytale kings About new things To be Swept away on dragons wings Where the very air sings a song of life To run free with wild horses And plot new courses Just around the river bend. I have gone away The final Step I leave this place with no regrets. If history has taught us one true thing is that no Species can last forever... |

this was very nicely written. but please, please, please, please, don't run away if you are under 18. been there done that, and trust me, that is not a road you want to go down. it seems so simple to just get out and go, but you will come back, they always do. you get scared and say enough, im ready to go back. and all h*ll breaks loose. so do not run away. besides that, you never really get away from anything, it follows you and you will keep running into the same things so just suck it up. i love the poem though, cant wait to see more! ~*Grace*~ |

And you still haven't figured out that it doesn't work until you're 18 or dead? You rhymed life with strife...sorry...I have to be honest, your critique message says so. That rhyme was the last part I actually read. I skimmed the rest. Chunks of this poem sound forced and, well..too far from unique to allow me to like much of it. Ok...any of it.
