His loving eyes honeyed his words Such words which tasted like pure sweetness Such lips were like cotton candy Soft, luscious (still as sweet as the first time I found them), so kiss-able… Hands which pocketed my soul Such hands bared calluses and discrete patterns Life lines and love lines both intertwined With my love lines and life lines My heart savagely pounds as if a wild man is beating within. Though I can only present the calm, “hard to get” act. My passion for him evolved as the physical distance between us permanently silenced his honeyed words. Forever pocketed my soul… And yet I feel our life and love lines intertwining. Still, his honeyed words--which still echo in my memories, will have everlasting silence. |
