Waking up I think of you-
as I stare right through the clouds.
Remembering how I had sacrificed sleep,
for that discussion on your day.

And then the morning,
whistles by
as I brush my hair,
and laugh at my thoughts.

And the day drags on,
and the laughter it does wane.
And my thoughts of you
turn somewhat cloudy.

Just wanting to exist forever-
in those morning thoughts.
Tolerating a whole day,
just to feel near you...

Why is it that we are at our most ingenius only when trying to destroy the things that keep us alive and thriving?

And look what I've brought up from the ashes like a Pheonix rising aflamed with passion and the poetic craziness of a birdlike monster! ROAR!!!!!

Anyway, well done on this one. I felt it....i felt it like a needle in my heart because I've experienced these yearning thoughts, these ........yep these yearning thoughts

I liked the poem. Well done.....and from your reply in the poem titled 'N'.....yes, I am too much

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Somewhere out there a cow is laughing at you

I would sigh and say in a whimsical, far away voice "oh, I understand!".... but I won't. It's not my bag. So I'll just say that love is a crazy thing and I think we should all go hug a tree. Great poem... you describe it very, very well.

reality always clouds our visions of what life should be like... and i always have those thoughts at 3am too.
with all the insomniacs in this world, you'd think it'd be easy to find someone to chat with or chill with instead of freezing in the corners of your mind, huddled round the fire of desire...

a provacative read.

"The soul is oftentimes a battlefield where reason and judgement wage war on passion and appetite."
