I wake up today,
Promises remain the same,
Trying to hang on to my game,
I head on out the door,
Driving in my four by four,

Got the planning going on,
The head keep spinning,
Cruising past all the slow folks
As I shift it to the speed lock,

Racing towards my future,
No barrier remains,
Trap in this life game,
Moving forward with no shame,

I see you try to catch-up
You about to be beat up,
I got the brain,
Can’t walk through life
On a cane,

So I am moving ahead,
Got my books and my head
All on one side,
Drugs won’t hold me down,
But can you relate to my case
Or am I just treated as another
Misfit race?

This was an awesome and strong piece!!! Look the future in the eye hun and dont look back!!! Great poem!
