It's been a while since my last post. I've been busy with the end of the school year and all. That's actually what inspired me to write this. The best friend that I have written so much about, and that I have dedicated so many poems to, graduates in 5 days. I still have another 2 years on this campus. I'm going to miss her so much and this is the only way I could think to express myslef. I hope you enjoy. Letting Go I look into your eyes, and the only thing I see. Is a flawless face, on the dearest friend to me. I've held on so long, and I don't want to say good-bye. I want to be selfish, please don't ask why. Forgive me for not showing my excitement for you. Becasue deep down inside, I'm proud of everything you do. With only days left, I've begun to realize. Even though I love you, I can't keep you for all mine. There's a life ahead of you, so seach for your new day. Use those angel wings of yours, and hun......fly away! "Whatever you are doing, love yourslef for doing it. Whatever you are feeling, love yourself for feeling it." -Thaddeus Golas [This message has been edited by Missthang (04-26-2002 09:52 PM).] |

Awwwww how sweet! I loved this one. It was a great length and the stanza lengths were nicely done as well. Plus you brought the story/poem from begining to end quite well. I know, if I had to do without my best friend, I don't know what I do. But we are able to keep in contact quite regularly online/phone/letters. Those are always options for you. Good luck! Sincerely, Titus Every second that passes you are one second older. You'll never get that second back. |

Yeah... Sometimes what's best in the end hurts the most when it happens. It's hard to let someone (or often something) go, even knowing that it's for the better. Great write, I enjoyed it. - Cody - |
