Day in and day out,
Just a constant battle,
To get up and goto school.
Always wanting to hide the alarm clock,
To just kill it and pull the plug,
And laugh in an evil way,
Then go back to sleep.
Always going off at the wrong time, wrong day.
With its annoying beeping sound telling you to get up.
But for ten years now, the same adventure,
Going to school and coming home.
Getting through the school day is hard.
Always standing in the hall,
Watching everyone like busy ants.
But me, I am like a needle in a hay stack.
Never to be found, never running about with the others.
When will all this end?
When you are a senior you will think,
Wow! how the time flew by,
Wish school would just come back.
But then, you think of that alarm clock,
You can go home and put away for a few years,
Then comes college!
But until then, put that alarm clock away!

*yawns* I sleep through mine... but sometimes I wake up before it goes off, and I'm half asleep, and the stupid thing goes off right when I'm about to go back to sleep... *mutters* I think we should imitate Captain Hook and kill all clocks. Sure, he was the bad guy, but he had a good idea... *yawns*

For someone who hasn't slept in.... *counts* est. 35 hours, I'm sympathetic to your cries.

I loved these two lines in particular.

It's taking me a bit to get used to your style... it's more lengthy in line length and total length. Have you considered using stanzas and seeing how that works? I ask only because I'm more similar to that. Do what you do best.

I'm just curious.
