In an upside-down garden

I pick up the phone
to hear your voice
on the other line.

The strains of guitar riffs
wailing in the backround
another song by Kurt Cobain.

You try to explain
you make up excuses
as to why you never
bothered to show up today.

I sit in the closet
the phone dangling
loosly in my hand.

The strains of guitar riffs
wailing in the backround
another song by Kurt Cobain.

You try not to care
when I don't respond
I guess there's nothing left
for me to say to you.

Your voice cracks a dozen times
you haven't finished your sentence
and I'm all ready drying my eyes.

The strains of guitar riffs
wailing in the backround
another song by Kurt Cobain.

You tell me to listen
you try to apologize
for the lack of attention
the lack of affection.

Where were you when
you weren't next to me
holding my insides in?

The strains of guitar riffs
wailing in the backround
another song by Kurt Cobain.

You're just another Nirvana lovin'
guitar playin' freak
with no time on their hands,
you're just like me.

He always plays on his guitar.....
some song he makes me guess which one...
*Polly wants a craker... I think I should get off her first...*
hmmmm....
he always strums on his guitar
another song, he makes me guess which one...

Sad thing is, I was only 6 when Kurt died so I never got to see them in concert....
makes me want to cry......

See me?
