As the journey continues,
on this Isle of Solitude,
the edges of sanity
are unreachable.
And for this, he praises.
The vast, incomparable
mass of this tangible labyrinth.
He stops. Raises his fists,
and screams.
Only he understands.
Only he can comprehend.
And that is just fine.
The scars of determination
are a portrait of unbending,
unflinching resolve.
The scorching sun tans his bones.
The sand burns his tender toes.
But he does not notice.
All he sees is the distant
unattainable borders of solitude.

hmmmm this reminded me something "princess sarah" had written a long time ago. i liked this, but not as much as the other one you posted up. ill be back with a more indepth critique later...but my brain's fried at the moment. heh, never fear, im here!

BRAVO!!! I love where this is going, sweet friend, this series is really developing the protagonist well, and maybe in the next installments one can at first love selfishly then he grows through Kohlberg's Moral Stages to become the person of pure love he is bound to become! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Daniel, thank you for sharing!

I think I love this man. I want to see him more. I didn't really like the idea of a continuous poem, but it's growing on me.

Yea i have to agree with dark..most continuous poems get to me after a while and start annoying and boring me but this i like a lot!!
