The Artist

Watercolor, paintbrushes
A full imagination, and a blank canvas
As a child it started with finger paints
Now you've grown up, and paint with real paints
You set the scene, by the ocean or the sky
Never underestimating your talent
You move with ease and simplicity
To you, your paintings
Are the works of a bored imagination
Not a work of art
You keep things easy, light colors
You let the paint dry
Pick up the picture off the counter
And stick it to the refridgerator
This is where my little artist, keeps her work

This is so nice. It's really peaceful in a way. The description in it is fantastic. Be proud of this. I enjoyed the read.

Very cool...  The image and message in this one is cool.  It's like, our lives paint a picture for everybody to see...  Whether we know that or not.  When we're kids, it's a smaller picture that doesn't mean as much, and you're getting used to creating the art, and when you get older, it's the real thing, and you actually paint a picture and put it where people can see what you've done...  lol  Now that I've translated your poem so I can understand it better, I'll be leaving.  lol  Good post.

Pukka.

Loved the message. As an artist, I was drawn by the ttile, and was surprised where you went with it. But it is so true.... art starts when we are but young. Nicely done.

Very cool poem. I loved it. I think art, music, and writing are all similar. They are all the same basic principle. So I had to read it, because regardless of the fact that I suck at art, I respect it very much, and enjoy it. (Get on with it, Mumbler... you're babbling again...). Very cool poem!
