If I died today, Would you have known me? And if you did, Would you remember me? I don’t believe you would have known me. The little girl who sat in the corner table with the backpack so nice and pink, with the words "Angel" on the back? With the black paint and not any other color, Who never ate lunch with her friends, but sat and cried always looking so sad. That little girl Is me.. Some laughter came from me, But very seldom would I let anyone see the real me. You may have seen me walking through the halls, Without any friends by my side. With my head to the ground with a sad face on. I never needed anyone to tell me it was ok Because that is just a lie. I stopped you from becoming my friend, Before I hurt you even more. But you wouldn’t listen to me. Would you remember all the times, The times that you made me happy? Or the times you made me sad? You had the gift, the gift that made me happy. You lighted up my life But now is dull again. But now you are gone, left me out of this life I was sent to you from up above I said. But I was just another angel to you. One so fragile and can die at the touch of love I warned you not to love me, but you didnt listen. When you left this angel behind, you broke my wings and now cannot fly. I was so sad, that I cryed tears of silver, not gold. If I was gone, Would you remember how I once looked like an angel? Like that photograph you have of me with wings on, And the light from up above. sweet sorrow angel is what you called me, I was never happy with what I had, Nor wanted to accept that I am not your angel anymore I am just a misplaced angel, Who wants to get her halo back. And back into heaven. My wings are mending back, but the hurt is left only in my heart. I am moving on, flying to new places to new people, but do not love me or I might break again. It was scary when I felt so close to you in your poem..but what is even scarier is that my name is Lisa, so it was almost as if you wrote it for me....scary...great write! ~Lisa |

Wooo-Woooo-WOOOOOOO!!! Tres Bien! Tres tres tres bien!!! Mucho gusto!!! This is like a story---rather than a poem! Teh...a story that I can relate to! If you keep writing beautiful works like this you'll be running PiP in no time!  Others are too in love with the sound of their own voice to speak the truth... |

This is amazing, Lisa. You've portrayed your pain well through such heartbreaking lines. I was so sad, that I cryed tears of silver, not gold. That got me. The imagery there is beautiful yet so incredibly sad. Stay strong. Good things come to those who wait.
