Hey everyone. I'm back. Been gone for awhile. I'm hoping I'll get to stop in more often. I've got alot of new work to post. Hope you like it

The Stars aren't out tonight, must mean there's something wrong
My eyes have been fixed to the sky for what seems like way too long
It's been 9 hours and 31 minutes just to be exact
That's when I got the phone call and now my life is wrecked
I can't think, can't move, just sit here and stare
Looking for a shining star I know will not be there
No excuses or lies, just a simple goodbye
Leaving me empty inside and wondering why
I don't know what to do now or how I will go on
I never have imagined life after you are gone
You were my whole world, all that I lived for
Feel I have no purpose, everything means nothing anymore
Still waiting for the stars, seems like its been years
I feel the need to cry, but can't bring myself to tears
Don't know how long I will sit here, guess we'll wait and see
Don't see a need to get up, without you there is no me
The moon is shining brightly down, but I can't see its light
Only star in my life was you, now stuck in eternal night

Jon~I thought this was kinda upsetting to me but GREAT!!! YOu dont know how it makes me feel (well you do but everything in my mind)...Brings back all kinds of memories...Im really glad that you posted this!!!

Indeed a tragedy Jon. We all go through these spurts of hellish times. No stars, no light, and nothing to bring them back except some far off star-creating nebula that noone knows when it'll arrive, or whether it will arrive at all. Quite depressing and I'm only adding to it

Anyhow, wonderful poem here Jon. A good read.

Thanks for the replies. This isn't going on right now, I'm fine. I just dug into my mind for previous experiences and wrote. I'm glad I came back

...and we're all glad you came back! This was such a good poem...you did a great job of expressing how you felt about the situation. Glad to hear you're ok now...no one should be in the dark for too long.
