Today the unthinkable happened

For Allison, we love you always and forever

Today the unthinkable happened
While we were sitting in class
A hushed phone call rang
bringing silence filled wrath

But I had to be strong
For her sake they said
and I had to be strong
for all of my friends

Today was the infamous wake
in the aftermath of hundreds of tears
and as I dressed in my mourning black
I felt like I had aged millions of years

But I had to be strong
For her sake they said
and I had to be strong
for all of my friends

Today was the typical funeral
a dark,rainy,dreary,dismal day
and I watched all these mourners
with nothing to say

But I had to be strong
For her sake they said
and I had to be strong
for all of my friends

We all lost a loved one
who never did a thing wrong
and we sit here in hysterics
Singing our own mourning songs

But I had to be strong
For her sake they said
and I had to be strong
for all of my friends

But Euogy began all to quickly
and I lost all my stregth
As I broke down in floods of tears
I lost all my faith

I was supposed to be strong
but I was grieving too
and I couldn't keep up
Trying to support all of you

I know how this feels. I lost a close friend in 2000 and I didn't go to the funeral... even now I wish I had. I hope you feel better and great job with expression. You expressed how I felt, how I still feel about my friend dying. Good job.

Hold on a second and lemme go fetch a tissue....**grabs a box of Kleenex and finds her way back to her chair**...no joke hun you brough tears to my eyes! I recently went through an experience like this but i fortunately didnt have to be strong for the gang...i admire and respect you for keeping yourself so composed for the sake of everyone else...::hugs::
