Once upon a time when we were one
a time that is now long gone
the sun shown on us
we were it, we were what everyone else wasn't
we held up threw every storm
that past before us
we knew we could hold it together
forever is what we wanted
but the day came when the sun went
the time we spent building us was over
we couldn't hold together nomore
and so our fairy tale ended
now our fairy tale is not so much that
the tale ended in nothing but a failure
we fell apart and life seemed more like hell
the day was cold the sun was gone, the brilliant light which once was is nomore
war is more like it
we don't speak, not one word
so once upon a time when we were one
is now a tale of something that once was

It is always hard when you break up with someone....this is so sad...I hope you are ok, and here.....(((hugs))) just in case

I love the ending lines of this poem . . . "so once upon a time when we were one, is now a tale of something that once was" Great job!
