Just wrote this.Late night inspiration from laying in bed and thinking to much.

Cobwebs and shadows
clutter in the corners
around the spotlit
center;
like a marionette
controlled; I dance to a merry tune
of shattered glass
and broken lies
honest falsehoods and forgotten truths
eyes upon me
while your hand dangles above
applaud me
I do as told
for the show, your show
and when the crowd leaves
I sit on your mantle
collecting dust
as you sleep.

ex animo,
Aaron

This was a very, very interesting poem to read. I liked your use of metaphors. I think that too often we're all the puppets of someone or something else. I suppose the real fun is trying to cut the strings. Thanks for posting this.

This is beautiful, aaron.  The thoughts in here are some that I can connect with... unfortunately enough.
The images that you portrayed are very well-written, and the style of the line breaks is original.  I enjoyed this.  Very well done!

Amee:   Thnx hun.  Sorry to make you think, I know how much you hate it. I'll email you soon and tell you what this was about.

Jaime:  Thanx for the post. I kinna disagree about the fun being in cutting the strings, cuz that just seems to hurt too. (shrugs). But yes we are all puppets of someone else weather we know it or not.

Marie:  Ya I was really tired when I wrote this.  It was about 3:00 in the morning and I couldn't sleep.  It just kind of came to me.  Anyway thnx for the post.  Later
