On the field Blood stains the ground a deep crimson Crys of pain and rage ring out Arows fly Swords clash Generals cry out comands Back home Lovers cry and wonder They try to keep up hope Children ask when Daddy or Mommy is coming home Tears fall Hearts break At the end The General counts the dead The bodies are gathered from the field to be burned The General goes to the famlies To tell them of there member's fate Tears fall Hearts break In Battle ---Night Angel |

Hmmm...this is an interesting peice. What inspired this may I ask? I know it's war---but is there anything else? The trick is to know when to walk away---and TO KNOW WHEN TO RUN!!! |

What inspired this poem is a well kept secret I have. Right now, thats all I'll say about it. I'll say more, but not now. ---Night Angel |

I'm with Alec... what inspired it? thanks for sharing though! never mind about the inspiration... I see you're online! You know you're Canadian when if something's broken, the first thing you ask is if it can be fixed with WD-40 or Duct Tape [This message has been edited by Skyfire (01-08-2002 07:43 PM).] |
