On the field
Blood stains the ground a deep crimson
Crys of pain and rage ring out
Arows fly
Swords clash
Generals cry out comands
Back home
Lovers cry and wonder
They try to keep up hope
Children ask when Daddy or Mommy is coming home
Tears fall
Hearts break
At the end
The General counts the dead
The bodies are gathered from the field to be burned
The General goes to the famlies
To tell them of there member's fate
Tears fall
Hearts break

Hmmm...this is an interesting peice. What inspired this may I ask? I know it's war---but is there anything else?

What inspired this poem is a well kept secret I have. Right now, thats all I'll say about it. I'll say more, but not now.

Actually i'd like to know the inspiration of this poem...i enjoyed it a lot though! very sad and tragic...
