Im always one step behind you,
Never seen eye to eye.
Cant do things the way they're suppose to be done,
I'm guilt written if i break and cry.
Try to be helpful,
Only make a mess.
Try to sooth and comfort,
And ironically it adds more stress.
Make an attempt at understanding,
But no i never ever could.
Its far beyond my perception,
And even if i tried to imagine i never would.
Im most definately not as smart as you,
No one will ever be.
Your one of a kind in every way,
No one can match up to you especially not me.
So am i suppose to thank you for taking me in?
You act as if your saving me from myself.
What have i ever done to be seen this way?
Am i just another internal award propped up on a shelf?
Im tired of being 2nd best if anything,
I want to be treated fair.
I feel like a 2 year old next to you,
Each glance my heart slowly frays and tears.
Ahh my hero,
My knight in shining armor.
I owe you my life,
Since you've destroyed it and made it somber.
So now that you've "saved" me,
Please just let me be.
So i can be alone with myself
And the misery of me....

Wow! What an ending! A very powerful piece. Sometimes the lines got too wordy or long for me, I stumble a bit as I read it, but I loved it. I hope you never feel second rate. You are waht you are, and I'm sure that is an amazing thing.
