i try to live my life day by day,
but something always gets in my way.
no one seems to notice,
that's cus there not aware.
so they just sit and stare.

life has got me by the throat.
tighter and tighter it's grip gets.
i try to break free,
but no one knows,
so they can't help me.

if only i could make them see.
how mean life can be.
it's grip gets tighter with each struggle.
i think i'm losing the battle.

it's grip is loosening and i can breathe.
this can't be!
it's a trick!
am i still alive?
is it true, did i win?
is the battle done?

for only time can tell when the grip will tighten.
so i go on with my life day by day.
till something else gets in my way.

this is a tight poem, its true...something else will always happen, thats just life, go with it, love it and have fun ya know. i understand your poem completely, sometimes there is no way that people can really see where you are coming from i guess. anyway, keep it up......peace.

You did a wonderful job in expressing some pretty heavy emotions in this poem. Very well done, Robin. And if you are having a hard time, I hope things get better for you.

Life's a *****, what else can I say? You just got to figure out a way to get by. Find the beauty. The rest is just details. Great poem... thanks for sharing.

Yeah life can suck sometimes but keep living your life day by day and you wil get through anything.Nice poem I really liked it.
